Adirondack Recreational Parts Introduce

Adirondack Recreational Parts, located at 3101 US-4, Hudson Falls, NY 12839, USA, operates as an establishment within the broad category of "Auto Repair Stations." While the name suggests a focus on recreational vehicles and their parts, customer reviews indicate that they provide services for motorcycles and potentially other powersports equipment. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the information available, including direct customer feedback.

The environment at Adirondack Recreational Parts, as gleaned from customer accounts, can be described as functional but with some reported inconsistencies in professional conduct and organization. As a facility primarily dealing with recreational vehicles, one might expect a workshop setting designed to accommodate motorcycles, ATVs, and similar equipment. However, customer feedback suggests that the organizational aspects, particularly regarding timely service and communication, may not always meet expectations. Accounts describe instances where vehicles were left unattended for extended periods, implying potential issues with shop management or capacity. The interactions with staff, particularly the owner, have been characterized in reviews as unapologetic and lacking remorse, which suggests an environment that might not always prioritize customer satisfaction and respectful communication, despite it being an "Auto Repair Station" where customer interaction is key. The overall impression from some reviews points to a less customer-centric environment than one might desire for a repair facility.

Adirondack Recreational Parts appears to offer services primarily focused on the repair and maintenance of motorcycles, and by extension, possibly other recreational vehicles. Based on customer experiences, their services include, but are not limited to, routine maintenance such as oil changes, carburetor adjustments, and replacement of basic components like fuel lines, petcocks, and seals. They also seem to handle more specific installations like speedometers, tachometers, forward foot controls, and heated hand grips, as detailed in one review. While they deal with "parts," as indicated by their name, the direct reviews do not specify whether they operate as a retail auto parts store with extensive inventory for sale to DIY customers, or if "parts" refers to components used in their repair services. The nature of some of the reported issues (e.g., incorrect carburetor installation, cracked transmission case during tightening) suggests that their mechanical services involve a range of diagnostic and repair work on critical vehicle systems, particularly those found in motorcycles and similar powersports vehicles. However, the quality and execution of these services have been a significant point of contention in customer feedback.

Several features, both positive and negative, can be inferred from the available information about Adirondack Recreational Parts. One feature, by virtue of its name, is its purported specialization in recreational vehicle parts and repairs, which could potentially be a draw for owners of such vehicles in the Hudson Falls area. The capacity to work on specific components like carburetors, front forks, and to install aftermarket accessories (like heated hand grips or foot controls) indicates a certain range of technical capability. However, the reviews highlight several significant features that raise concerns. A primary feature, as reported, is inconsistency in service quality, with serious issues reported regarding the correctness of repairs, such as an upside-down petcock or incorrect carburetor installation, leading to further damage and leaks. Another prominent feature, as described by customers, is poor customer service and a lack of professionalism, particularly concerning communication, appointment management, and accountability for errors. The reports of extended waiting times for scheduled appointments and mismanaged parts orders also suggest organizational weaknesses. While the business aims to provide "Auto Repair Stations" services, the objective customer feedback indicates that aspects such as the quality of workmanship, adherence to proper repair procedures, and overall customer experience are critical areas of concern.

In terms of promotional information, businesses like Adirondack Recreational Parts typically rely on local advertising, online presence, and word-of-mouth. However, given the nature of the provided customer reviews, it is not possible to detail any positive or standard promotional activities like discounts or special offers. Instead, the current information suggests that the primary "promotion" from customer experience is a cautionary one. Businesses with such feedback often face challenges in attracting new customers based on reputation alone. If any promotions exist, they would typically be communicated directly by the shop, possibly through their phone numbers ((518) 746-0032 or +1 518-746-0032), or via any local advertisements they might place. However, based on the customer reviews, potential clients are strongly advised to exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence, including perhaps visiting the shop in person, clarifying expectations, and obtaining detailed, written estimates for any work before committing. The advice given in a review, "My advice is... find a reputable shop. Adirondack Recreational Parts is morally bankrupt and mechanically disinclined," serves as a significant piece of customer-generated information regarding the establishment's perceived standing in the community.

In conclusion, Adirondack Recreational Parts at 3101 US-4, Hudson Falls, NY, operates as an "Auto Repair Stations" facility with a focus on recreational vehicle repairs. While it offers services for various motorcycle components, the available customer feedback raises substantial concerns regarding the quality of workmanship, professionalism, and customer service. For local users in the Hudson Falls area seeking automotive or recreational vehicle repair, the provided information strongly suggests a need for careful consideration and verification of services before engaging with this establishment.

Adirondack Recreational Parts Customer Reviews

I recently purchased a 1993 Harley-Davidson Tour Glide Ultra Classic from a gentleman who had Adirondack Recreational Parts complete the following service: * Repair fuel gauge. * Replace fuel petcock. * Replace fuel line. * Adjust carburetor. * Front fork seals. * Front brakes. I trailered the bike home and dropped it off at my Technician because fuel was leaking, and transmission fluid was leaking. Once my Technician opened it up, a litany of problems presented themselves: 1. The petcock was installed upside down, thereby nullifying the OFF position. Fuel leaked down into the crankcase. 2. Adirondack Recreational Parts installed a junk carburetor from a bucket of parts. It wasn't even the correct carburetor, as evidenced by the cruise control wire dangling. The jetting was not even close. The intake seals were completely gone. The intake boot was torn. The choke was not installed in the carburetor properly. The cables were not adjusted properly (the throttle was opening less than 50%). 3. The fuel gauge was not repaired. 4. The transmission leak, which was substantial, was the result of a cracked transmission case. All the transmission gaskets were fine, but while tightening the bolts, there was oil in the bolt hole and CRACK. The oil had no place to go. I can't wait to see what's NEXT. The sad part is, the poor gentleman I purchased this from, (an honest, hard worker) was charged over $1,100 for this deplorable hack job. Now, I have to pay a competent Technician to repair Adirondack Recreational Part's mess. My advice is... find a reputable shop. Adirondack Recreational Parts is morally bankrupt and mechanically disinclined.

I called this shop and set up an appointment to have four things done to my bike. I needed oil change, new speedometer and tachometer installed, Forward foot controls installed, and heated hand grips installed. I had purchased all the parts ahead of time and made sure he know what needed to be done. He took my bike in and didn't even touch it or any of the parts I had placed on his counter for two weeks. Then called and said he wouldn't do it due to being to busy. He was vary unapologetic or remorseful for his poor customer service skills. When I told him I wouldn't be back he looked at me and said okay very disrespectfully and with no remorse. I would not recommend taking your bike into this establishment unless you don't mind waiting weeks with no answers on why he made an appointment just to let it sit for weeks or more. The last time I was in there before this I had to wait for almost two months just for him to get he parts and then find out he never ordered them correctly. Again I would not recommend very poor professionalism by the owner.

I lowsided my bike nearby and was recommended this shop by a few local dealers. Glad I took their suggestions. They checked out and serviced my bike the next day, I was out by the afternoon for a fair price. Harley was super friendly and empathetic of my need to get to my next destination asap, while still putting my safety first. Would suggest sending your bike to these guys if you need a quick fix in a heartbeat.

Had my bike at this shop for several months for an engine repair, over that time they barely touched my bike and when I finally decided to give up and take it back, they still charged me $100 just for the 12 minute drive to pick up the bike and drop it off. I'm sure they're a fine shop overall but don't bother going there with a large job and don't expect anything to be done quickly.
