3 angels custom upholstery Introduce

Located at 705 Gibson Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102, USA, 3 Angels Custom Upholstery operates within the broader category of "Auto Repair Stations," providing specialized services focused on the interior aesthetics and comfort of vehicles. This business caters to a niche but essential aspect of auto care: upholstery repair, restoration, and customization. For inquiries or to discuss a project, 3 Angels Custom Upholstery can be reached at (505) 604-2831 or via mobile at +1 505-604-2831.

The environment at 3 Angels Custom Upholstery, as can be inferred from customer reviews, is a workshop dedicated to intricate and hands-on automotive interior work. Unlike a typical full-service auto repair shop with large bays for engine or chassis work, an upholstery shop would feature specialized tools for cutting, sewing, and fitting various fabrics and materials. One review specifically highlights "high quality hand-worked-with-passion auto upholstery," which suggests a focus on craftsmanship. This implies a workspace equipped with industrial sewing machines, material storage, and dedicated areas for meticulous assembly of seat covers, headliners, and door panels. The contrasting mentions of a "first class dining and lattes" customer service area at other establishments suggests that 3 Angels focuses on the practical aspects of the repair itself rather than luxurious waiting amenities. The location, "right off I-25 or just east of Broadway SE," indicates accessibility for customers, particularly those looking for a dedicated upholstery specialist rather than a general auto repair station. The expectation for customers would be a functional, dedicated workspace where skilled individuals transform and restore vehicle interiors.

The core services offered by 3 Angels Custom Upholstery primarily revolve around the interior components of automobiles. These specialized services are crucial for maintaining the aesthetics, comfort, and resale value of a vehicle. Based on the provided customer feedback, their services include:

  • Auto Upholstery Repair: This involves fixing tears, rips, burns, or other damage to car seats, door panels, and other upholstered surfaces.
  • Complete Upholstery Re-do/Restoration: For vehicles requiring a full interior overhaul, whether due to extensive wear, damage, or as part of a classic car restoration project. This can involve replacing all fabric, leather, or vinyl surfaces.
  • Headliner Repair and Replacement: A common issue for older vehicles, particularly in sunny climates, involves the headliner (the fabric lining the car's roof) curling or sagging. 3 Angels explicitly handles this, as detailed in a review where a "hot-sun-curling-off-headliner" was fixed efficiently.
  • Custom Upholstery Work: The business name "Custom Upholstery" itself suggests the ability to create bespoke interior designs, allowing vehicle owners to personalize their cars with unique fabrics, colors, or patterns. The review mentioning custom door panels for a 1979 El Camino directly supports this offering.
These services cater to both daily drivers in need of repairs and enthusiasts undertaking restoration or customization projects, offering a specialized alternative to general auto repair shops for interior needs.

The features of 3 Angels Custom Upholstery are presented with contrasting perspectives from customer reviews. On the positive side, a key feature is their focus on high-quality, hand-worked craftsmanship and passion for auto upholstery. This suggests a dedication to detailed and meticulous work, aiming for superior results in repair and restoration. Another positive feature is their reasonable pricing, as noted by a satisfied customer who found the work done at a "very reasonable price." The ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, as demonstrated by the headliner repair done "tomorrow" and finished by 3:30 pm the next day, is also a significant advantage. This indicates efficiency and a commitment to customer convenience. The positive review also praises the staff as "good folks," implying a friendly and approachable demeanor. This particular customer recommends 3 Angels for those who "prefer first class dining and lattes in the ‘Customer Service’ area, head to Knob Hill," suggesting that while their waiting area might not be luxurious, their core service quality is paramount. However, it is crucial to present an objective view, and another review highlights significant concerns regarding 3 Angels Custom Upholstery. This negative experience points to severe issues with communication and adherence to commitments. The customer reported multiple missed deadlines, a lack of proactive communication via phone calls, and an unreliable "man of his word" aspect regarding a promised free panel. This suggests potential inconsistencies in project management and customer updates. Furthermore, the review raises concerns about customer service under pressure, with the owner allegedly starting to rip off installed panels when payment was questioned. The reported loss of original parts (lock and window switches) and the quality of the finished work (vinyl already ripped on one panel) are serious red flags regarding professionalism and the end product. Therefore, while some customers experience positive outcomes, the inconsistencies in service delivery, communication, and potential quality issues are significant features to note.

For promotional information, 3 Angels Custom Upholstery can highlight their core strengths while being mindful of addressing potential concerns. They could emphasize their specialization in "high quality hand-worked" auto upholstery repair and restoration, appealing to customers who value craftsmanship. Promoting their ability to handle common issues like "hot-sun-curling-off-headliner" with quick turnaround times would be effective. Advertising their "reasonable prices" for specialized work could attract budget-conscious individuals seeking quality. Showcasing before-and-after photos of their custom upholstery projects, especially for classic cars or unique vehicles, would visually demonstrate their capabilities. However, to address the negative feedback, they might consider explicitly stating a commitment to transparent communication regarding project timelines and any changes, perhaps implementing a formal notification system for job completion. While the information does not provide details on specific current promotions, common strategies for an upholstery shop could include offering a discount on a full interior restoration, a special price for headliner repairs, or a package deal for custom seat covers. They could also target local car clubs or classic car enthusiasts with specialized services. Highlighting the convenience of their location "right off I-25" would also be a benefit. Given the mixed reviews, a proactive approach to demonstrating reliability and consistent quality, perhaps through updated customer service policies or guaranteed completion times, would be beneficial for building broader trust and ensuring positive customer experiences consistently.

3 angels custom upholstery Customer Reviews

For Abq. Auto Upholstery needs, ‘House of Covers’ seems to be a popular place to go if you love Knob Hill and have no limit on the old credit card. For high quality hand-worked-with-passion auto upholstery repair or complete re-do/restoration, there is no better place and good folks than at ‘3 Angels’ on Gibson and Edith SE right off I-25 or just east of Broadway SE. I said ‘I was in no rush’ this week to fix a hot-sun-curling-off-headliner in my cramped little Chrysler Crossfire. ‘How about tomorrow?’ The owner tells me. Next day’s beautiful work was done by 3:30 pm and at a very reasonable price. Kudos. I happily recommend 3 Angels. If you prefer first class dining and lattes in the ‘Customer Service’ area, head to Knob Hill.

I'm not normally a guy to post reviews for businesses but this was the worst service I have ever received. Sorry for the essay. I brought my 1979 El Camino (My everyday Driver) on May 8th, 2017 in to 3 Angels to do some custom upholstery to my door panels. The total price for 2 panels was $500 which was a fair price. On Monday May 8th I was told that my door panels would be done by Friday May 12th. So I left my phone number and Jamie told me he would call me when it was finished. Friday came and I did not receive a call from 3 Angels. So I called the place to check up and the dude told me that he had just received the supplies needed to do the job. He told me that he would have them done by Tuesday May 16th. Tuesday came and still no word on my door panels. 3 Angels being so close to my house I decided to go down there to see the progress on my panels only to find out no progress was made at all. The dude told me that he would have them done by the next day Wednesday May 17th. So the next day I went down there and still nothing. He gave me a deal and told me that if he did not have them done by Friday May 19th, he would give me my 2nd door panel for free. After the 3 different times that the guy gave me excuses I decided that I would wait for a phone call from this dude on Friday while I was at work. Friday passed without any notice of finished door panels and I figured I just got my second door panel for free because this guy still could not finish his work. Since 3 Angels is closed on the weekends I waited for Monday May 22nd to go down there to see what was up. I got out of school at 5:00 pm and I went down there to find out my panels were FINALLY finished (after 2 weeks) but that I needed to come back the next day because they were closed to have him install them. So the dude installs my panels then tells me I owe him the 270$ (because I already gave him $230 as a down payment) and I asked him about the deal he made me about the free panel. He told me that the panels were finished on Friday but since I did not come down to get them it was my fault. I told him that I did not receive any phone calls from him notifying me of my finished panels and he said he didn't need to call me. What for leave a phone number then? Before I could even tell him anything else he started ripping the panels he just installed off of my car. I pulled out my money and he still continued. I expected this dude to be a man of his word but I guess it was wrong for me to assume. So in the end I payed for one door panel (driver side) and the vinyl is already ripped. Jamie kept my passenger side panel because I told him I was not paying him $270 after he did not stick to his word. Also my original lock switch and window switch was lost. If I could rate this business no stars I would. I would never recommend this shop to anyone looking for good service, quality work and professionalism.
